It was a busy year for us at Shield. We partnered with local non-government organisations in South-East Asia, in training and in operations.

We successfully took down several traffickers and rescued 9 in an 8 month operation in collaboration with 3 other organisations working in the space.

We trained and equipped local non-government organisations in communications security; physical security; information security; and investigative techniques.

We trained law enforcement in cyber investigations of child sexual exploitation and dark web investigative techniques.

We also embedded one of our investigators with a larger non-government organisation for 6 weeks as a volunteer. This was invaluable for us as an organisation to stay up to speed with where other organisations are at in this space and to learn new techniques and strategies to combat child-sex trafficking.
